Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:

Maintenance of the MARNET stations Oder Bank and Arkona Sea, deployment of Oder Bank Bouy 1. CTD measurements at all three MARNET stations (Darss Sill, Arkona Basin, Oder Bank, FINO2). The data acquired with these stations are used for the regular national and international assessments of the state of the Baltic Sea, feed operational oceanographic models and provide the scientific basis for measures to be taken for saltwater inflows from the North Sea, the solely source for deep-water renewals of the ecosystem Baltic Sea.
