Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
The 20th voyage of the VWFS "ATAIR" was dedicated to chemical and oceanographic monitoring of the German Bight. As part of the marine environmental monitoring, water and sediment samples were collected during the cruise to be analyzed for organic pollutants and metals. Accompanying hydrographic measurements using CTD, turbidity and fluorescence probes complete the data set. In addition, stations inside and outside various wind farms have been sampled for water and sediment to determine coating particles, contaminants, and metals (for the ANEMOI and OffChEM projects). In addition, water samples were collected at a reduced number of stations to determine phytoplankton, and vertical hauls were made with a WP2 net to survey zooplankton communities (iMonEP project).
