Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
Cruise 067I013-1 with R/V ATAIR focused on investigating the oceanographic state of the North Sea in summer 2022 and on determining the large-scale distribution of artificial radionuclides in the surface layer of the North Sea. Like previous North Sea Summer Surveys (NSSS) of BSH, cruise 067I013-1 covered the North Sea following seven coast-to-coast sections spanning the North Sea between 54? and 60?N. Additional stations were carried out at the southern entrance to the English Channel south of 54?N. The survey followed a grid of fixed standard station locations aiming at obtaining vertical CTD profiles and water samples from the water column and from the surface layer.
