Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:

This cruise with R/V Elisabeth Mann Borgese was part of the DFG funded projects "The role of bottom boundary layer turbulence for the exchange of tracer (ROBOTRACE)" focusing on oxygen exchange processes at the seafloor. This was done with a set of newly developed sensor combinations, ship based turbulence measurements and moorings designed to investigate the small scale processes at the sedimentwater interface. Study area was a region in the central Baltic Sea east of the island of Gotland.
