Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
In the project Drops shrimp beam trawls are developed and tested they do not require dolly ropes as abrasion protection. During this trip, 5 of these special nets were examined using underwater video cameras. The beam trawl with a straight roller ground gear, the ascending trawl as well as the ascending trawl with large meshes in the lower panel were found to be good. Improvements had to be made to the beam trawl with the sieve mat and the beamtrawl with the cover at the sieve net exit.
