Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
Solea 745, Fahrtabschnitt 2: Main objective of cruise n?745 part B of the FFS "Solea" was the training of students (MuPeds - MUltiPurposeEDucationSurvey) in the field of fisheries hydroacoustic. The survey was conducted in Bornholm Basin ICES SD 25 (Danish waters). Main objectives of the cruise are : ? Investigation of the vertical distribution and migration of cod and clupeids ? High-resolution hydroacoustical recordings of fish with the EK80 sonar in frequency modulated mode (FM). ? Recording of the acoustic parameters of the various species of fish in broadband mode (target strength, frequency response) in combination with targeted fishing of the various echo layers.
