Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:

MeBo drill sites in the Danube deep sea fan to elaborate the gas hydrate sability zone and to understand the gas hydrate distribution in Sediments of the upper slope. Biogeochemical investigations have been performed in Quaternary sediments and methane emissions were mapped as well as bathymetry of the seafloor. The harbour in Varna was visited several times (8 Nov, 21-22 Nov, 2 Dec/in the roads), whereas the research activity was in Romania.
