Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
The aim of the cruise was the scientific mapping of the seafloor morphology with the multibeam echosounder EM710 and the subbottom profiler SES2000 medium within the territorial sea around Helgoland. The investigation area consists of different individual mapped survey areas. During the cruise also the sound velocity profiler Valeport was used to determine the water sound velocity within the water column to ensure high quality hydrographic measurements. The underwater positioning system GAPS was utilized for investigation of the achievable accuracy.
