Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
The cruise Wega#146 was performed within the framework of the project "Comprehensive sediment mapping the German Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ)". The aim of the project is the comprehensive recording and compilation of sediment distribution data on the seafloor in the German EEZ of the North and Baltic Sea. The purpose of this cruise was the mapping of the seabed surface of a subregion of the Natura 2000 site "Sylt Outer Reef" with side scan sonar and sampling with the little box corer and underwater video camera. Moreover multibeam measurements were carried out.
