Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:

Objectives: (1) Determine the physical, chemical and biological conditions in the study area surrounding the mesocosm deployment site laid out during POS463 (2) Take water and plankton net samples at the European Time Series Station (ESTOC) (3) Collect deep water at depth of 450 m in a large 80 m^3 deep-water collector and transport this to the mesocosm deployment site.
