Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
A goal of the trip was to test and use of a new bottom double belly trawl. At next with this trawl was examined how the escape rate of cod can be improved with streamer elements made from ropes and floats. Furthermore, was to investigate how high the losses of the other target species Nephrops, Witch Flounder and Blue Withing are. The first analysis of the catch comparison shows that with the tickler elements has been reduced the cod catch by 12.6%, the catch of witch flounder and Blue Whiting by 19.4% and 49% but the catch of Nephrops, however, was the same.
