Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:

This ship expedition served the student education at the University of Greifswald and is offered as a compulsory course and exercise in the subject module F11 "Marine Geology" of the Bachelor (B.Sc.) - Program Geology under the current course number 5401033. The Chair of Marine Geology (Chief scientist / Prof. Helge W. Arz) at the Institute of Geography and Geology of the Ernst Moritz Arndt University Greifswald was responsible for the module. The practical course consists of a sea-going part, which intends to introduce the students to marine geological and geoacoustic working methods on a research vessel. The internship was carried out on the research vessel "Elisabeth Mann Borgese" in the area of the Mecklenburg Bay in the Baltic Sea.
