Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
Baltbox-Survey The purpose of the BALTBOX survey is to scientifically investigate and analyse spatial and temporal dynamics of commercially important demersal fish stocks in the German Western Baltic. Since 2003 annual investigations are realised by bottom trawl hauls in specified marine areas, so-called boxes. These fixed boxes were chosen so that water depth is approximately constant and hydrographical conditions are characteristic for this relevant area of the Baltic Sea.
