Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
National activities: Codend selection in the Baltic on cod, flounder and place with legal T90 codend (single yarn; 120mm meshopening) and legal Bacoma codend (Upper panel: square mesh window with 120mm meshopening made from UltraCross net material; lower panel: rhombic standard meshes with 105mm meshopening). The legal codends were compared to Bacoma codends with a reduced window size(3m length, beginning direct after the extenion piece) with and without a stimulating device (ropes) to cause a more panic fish reaction.In adition a Bacoma codend was tested with a lower layer of T90 meshes 120mm and a Bacoma codend were the squaremesh window was replaced by T90 netmaterial 120mm, single yarn 4mm).
