Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:

The Cruise MSM16 is embeddet in the framework of the European Bonus + program. An international team including subproject partners working for BALTIC GAS, INFLOW and HYPER participated the cruise. The main objective was to investigate natural shallow gas localities using hydroacoustic and geochemical methods. Moreover several cores were taken for the benefit of the HYPER project. Throughout the cruise CTD data was collected to draw a clear picture of the current oceanographic condition relevant for the HYPER project. Overall, the sampling was very successful without serious technical failures throughout the cruise.
