Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:

RV Meteor cruise M82-1 was a joint exercise between the Institut fur Meereskunde of the University of Hamburg (IfM-ZMAW), the university of Kiel (IfM-GEOMAR), the Centre for Environment, Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (CEFAS), the Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI) and the Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research (NIOZ). The main aim was to study sources, pathways and mixing of Labrador and Irminger Sea Waters and Denmark Strait Overflow Water.
