Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:

The objective of the cruise was the monitoring of the macrozoobenthos community and the habitat structure in the SCIs in the German EEZ (Part: Baltic Sea) with a special focus on the Kiel Bight and the Fehmarnbelt area. The benthic community was sampled using van-Veen-grab (3 samples per station) and dredge (1 haul per station) at overall 39 stations in five different areas. Information about the habitat structure was gained by taking surface-sediment samples (van-Veen) und bottom videos (towed or ROV). The investigations were accompanied by CTD-profiles and measurement of bottom-near oxygen saturation.
