Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
Up to 41.5 m long sediment cores of Miocene, Pliocene and Pleistocene age were collected with the sea floor drill rig MeBo for paleoceanographic studies. The sedimentary environment was investigated with multibeam (topography) and Parasound (top 50 m sediment structure) echosounding systems. Particle dynamics in the upwelling area off Morocco were investigated with a particle camera and water sampling.
