Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:

The cruise aimed at studying the spatial distribution of contaminants in the northern part of the Romanian littoral. It consisted in 5 W-E sections, from 44 deg 25 min N to 45 deg 10 min N. The objectives were focused on the assessment for the nutrient emissions (nitrogen and phosphorus) in the Romanian Black Sea marine and coastal area, together with its effects on water quality and especially on the ecological status of the Western Black Sea coastal area. \n
