Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
Geological sampling of the subseafloor (up to 12m deep) of a hydrothermal field near 14?45'N on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge using a lander-type seabed drill (Rockdrill2 of the British Geological Survey, Edinburgh). Other instruments used for sampling are: gravity corer, multi-corer, dredge. Bathymetric mapping was performed using a Kongsberg EM120 multibeam system
