Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
The main aims of the survey were:\n1. To conduct a plankton survey, to determine the distribution and abundance of cod (Gadus Marhuc), haddock (Melanogrammus aeglifinus) and plaice (Pleuronectes platessa) eggs.\n2. To remove fish eggs from fresh plankton samples at sea.\n3. To collect a surface nutrient sample at each of the sampling stations.\n4. To collect surface chlorophyll samples at each of the sampling stations.\n5. To collect surface salinity samples at every third station for callibrations of the CTD's.\n6. To collect surface phytoplankton samples at every third station for phytoplankton species identification.
