Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
The aim of this investigations was to reduce discards in the trawl fishing of Baltic Sea. A new constructed top reduced bottom trawl was tested. This cut-back headline trawl was proved to minimize the by-catch of cod when fishing for flats.
