Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
The sampling sites within the German economy zone of the Baltic Sea are the Kiel Bight, the Mecklenburg Bight, the Darss sill and the waters between the Island of Ruegen and the Oder Bank. Investigations on the occurrence and migration of demersale fishes are carried out annually by means of bottom trawling. These investigations are made in selected fishing grounds, i.e. box areas. Fishing within box areas is used for identifying possible modifications in the demersale fish societies.
