Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
Objectives: - Collection of data for indices of stock structure and recruitment, especially for cod and flatfish as part of the International Standard Bottom Trawl Surveys in the Baltic Sea - Monitoring the species composition of the ichthyocenosis in the western Baltic Sea - Measurements of environmental parameters influencing fish concentration processes as well as showing exchange processes between water bodies in the survey area Narrative: RV 'SOLEA' left Rostock-Marienehe on 17-02-2006. 57 fishing and 59 hydrography stations were made in Arkona Sea, Mecklenburg and Kiel Bight. From each haul were taken length and weight of all species of fish. For cod and flounder were additional biological investigations e.g. sex, maturity and otholit samples. After each trawl haul the hydrographic condition was recorded with a CTP-O? probe.
