Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:

1) Investigation of the circulation of water masses within Isfjorden and Kongsfjorden-Krossfjorden. 2) Tracing Atlantic water (AW) in the West Spitsbergen Current and the adjacent shelf areas, and following its path into the Arctic Ocean. Data revealed that the amount of AW on the shelf outside Isfjorden was larger than last year baton the average compared to our measurements the last 5 years. Due to bad weather we were not able to collect data north of Svalbard, but we manage to trace AW half way into Hinlopen.
