Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
1. Groundfish survey of the North Sea as part of the ICES coordinated IBTS 2. To collect acoustic data at 38 kHz and 120 kHz continuously throughout the cruise as part of the CATEFA project. 3. Collecting fish white muscle and queen scallop tissue for stable isotope analysis, as part of an ongoing study on the effects of fishing in the North Sea (S. Jennings, CEFAS Lowestoft). 4. To carry out 6 hard ground tows of the NE coast using the modified rock-hopper GOV. 5. The collection of cod blood and tissue samples as part of cod endocrine project (S. Scott, CEFAS, Weymouth) could not be started due to failure of net drum. FOR DETAILS SEE ATTACHED REPORT.
