Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
1.To collect data to estimate year-class strength of the cod, haddock, whiting, Norway pout, herring, sprat and mackerel stocks in the North Sea, Skagerrak and Kattegat. The survey is coordinated by ICES and is carried out in cooperation with research vessels from England, Germany, France, Norway, the Netherlands, Scotland and Sweden. The survey is carried out as a bottomtrawl survey using the GOV-trawl as the standard gear. 2. To monitor water temperature and salinity at all trawl stations using a CTD sonde. 3. To estimate the distribution of fishlarvae, especially herring and sprat larvae by fishing using a MIK net during night hours. 4. To make comparison between DANA and Argos on 10-12 stations with GOV-trawl.
