Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
The investigations are used for the decrease of discards in the trawl fishing of Baltic Sea. A new principle of a raised footrope trawl was tested. The trawl net design substantially reduced catch rates of flatfish while allowing the targeting of Baltic cod, as compared to a standard rigged net design.
