Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
The MESH project focuses on seabed areas within NWE (North-West Europe). The diverse habitats and biodiversity are important food and energy resources as well as essential components of the ecosystem. The MESH project partners are responding to the growing pressures on seabed habitats by putting in place a spatial planning framework. Objectives include: harmonise seabed mapping; establish a set of internationally agreed protocols and provide access to information via internet GIS.
