Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
Two chief scientists on this cruise: Mikko Heino, IMR Norway (13-22 May) and Jaime Alvarez, IMR Norway (23 May-8 June). 1) Abundance estimation of blue whiting and Norwegian spring spawning herring. 2) Observations on zoo- and phytoplankton. 3) Oceanographic observations, including Gimsoey, Fugloeya-Bear Island and Vardoe-N sections. 4) Recovery of moored current meters. 5) Monitoring of radioactive contamination. 6) Sea bird observations. 7) Abundance estimation of capelin larvae.
