Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
The aim of the cruise was to monitor the state and change of macrozoobenthos communities and hydrography, especially near-bottom water conditions in the deep water. The sampling complements the long-term monitoring data collected by FIMR and contributes to HELCOM COMBINE monitoring programme of the state of the Baltic Sea. Water and sediment samples were also taken for radioactivity monitoring (HELCOM MORS). Additional sampling was done for stable isotope analysis, sediment organic matter content, and different sediment chemical analysis. A wave buoy and a carbon dioxide sensor were moored during the cruise.
