Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
Two chief scientists: Aage Hoeines and Sigbjoern Mehl, IMR. Annual combined acoustic and bottom trawl survey in the Barents sea in winter to: -Map the distribution of cod, haddock, redfish and greenland halibut. -Acoustic registration of pelagic species. -Estimate indices of abundance and length, weight, sex and maturity at age for cod, haddock, redfish and greenland halibut. -Stomach sampling of cod. -Biological sampling of capelin, polar cod, herring and blue whiting. -Map the general hydrographic regime by ctd-stations at bottom trawl stations and standard transects. -Plankton sampling at standard transects by wp-2 net. -Gear research (trawl doors and gear rigging).
