Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
METHOD DEVELOPMENT, INSTRUMENT TESTING & QUALITY ASSURANCE 1. German Marine Monitoring Network (MARNET), Baltic Operational Oceanographic System (BOOS) and HELCOM - COMBINE- reference measurements for quality assurance 2. Method development: complex pump cast CTD and flow through measurement systems for higher resolution - nutrient measurements - vertical CO2 - profiling - higher resolution and contamination reduced vertical heavy metal sampling (water from the CTD through cable and winch into flow through lab systems and sampling equipment) 3. Instrument testing: - close to bottom pump cast CTD applications and risks - new under water video cameras for pump cast CTDs and sediment traps
