Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
The purpose of the cruise was to investigate the Status Quo of selected areas for several projects: RESPONSE: investigating the influence of exclusion of fishery activities around the FINO-platform on sediment, zoobenthos and fish BEOFINO: investigating the influence of artificial hard substrates on the surrounding soft bottom community; AWI Long-term Series: investigating long-term changes of several communities (infauna, epifauna, demersal fishes), in dependence of abiotic factors and including biotic interactions. Hardware check: To test the catchability of a fishtrap in shallow waters for eelpout CTD (vertical profiles); 0.1m? van Veen grab (macrozoobenthic infauna; sediment characteristics) ; 3m beam trawl (invertebrate epifauna and demersal fishes); Otter trawl (demersal fishes); Nansen-plankton-net (mero- and zooplankton); bottom photography and video ; fishtrap
