Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
Sedimentological survey at the Nazare Canyon for bottom sediments sampling.\n\nRecovering of a monitoring platform (CORSED) previously deployed at Nazare canyon.\n\nThe platform was maintained during the period of cruise PTEUSTRAT08 over the shelf near the Nazare Canyon. It was intended to provide a short term characterization of the evolution of : (a) surface to bottom current profile, (b) near bottom hydrographic variables (T,S) and (c) near bottom suspended sedimentary matter and sediment fluxes. \n\nThe measurements conducted with the CORSED platform will complement the long-term observations conducted with the two EUROSTRATAFORM moorings deployed along the Nazare Canyon axis.\n
