Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:

Objectives and brief narrative of cruise enter sufficient information about the purpose and nature of the cruise so as to provide the context in which the reported data were collected. The cruise was part of the ICES coordinated Place and Cod egg Survey, which is carried out from January till April 2004. The survey covers the entire North Sea and eastern English Cannel. in each ICES rectangle (see cruise map) 2 double oblique hauls are made with the Gulf VII plankton torpedo with mounted CTD. The Gulf VII is fitted with a 28 cm diameter conical nose and a standard net of 280 ?m mesh size. All egg data are stored in a central database at CEFAS.
