Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
The aim of the cruise was to test drifting buoys and to collect observations for validation of surface drift models.The drifting buoys equipped with GPS receivers were released in groups in the western Gulf of Finland. The drifters were drifting 5-11 hours and the experiment was repeated four times.
