Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:

The cruise will be conducted within the frame of GLOBEC-GERMANY Project,Trophic Interactions between Zooplankton and Fish under the Influence of Physical Processes. In parallel to RV ALKOR hydroacoustic recording and trawl fishery (pelagic/demersal) will be conducted along specific transects to determine the biomass and distribution of the fish community (especially herring and sprat). In parallel hydrographic measurements will be performed. Occasional plankton sampling will conducted during nighttime. Fish samples will be analysed for gonadal maturation, lipid contents/composition (condition), and diet composition.
