Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
Within the ICES coordinated international hydroacoustic survey on pelagic fish in the North Sea, "Walther Herwig III" worked in the South-Eastern North Sea. For the identification of echo traces and further biological sampling, 32 hauls with a pelagic net were conducted. After each haul or each 30 nautical miles a CTD profile was recorded. A report will be delivered to and published by the ICES Planning Group for Herring Surveys in the beginning of 2005.
