Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
Physical, chemical, biological resarch and fishery oceanographyThe cruise was conducted within the framework of GLOBEC Germany "Trophic interactions between zooplankton and fish under the influence of physical processes". Investigations were carried out in the German Bight, North Sea. Research was performed on all trophic levels incl. phyto-, zoo- and ichthyoplankton as well as pelagic clupeid and gadoid fish fry. Major goals were the description of abundance, biomass, production and nutritional condition of phyto-, zoo- and ichthyoplankton. Concurrently hydrographic measurements were performed incl. continous vertically resolved recordings and the amount of nutrients in the water column was recorded.
