Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
One of a series of SFB cruises to study: a) Overflows west and southwest of Iceland, b) Spreading of overflow water in the Iceland Basin, c) Flow path of intermediate and deep waters at Charlie Gibbs fracture zone plus addional research and operational projects, d) Deployment of ARGO drifters for GYROSCOPE e) Search for methan sources at the mid Atlandic Ridge f) Study of large scale distribution of thorium in the North Atlantic
