Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
One of a series of cruises of the special research project 261 (SFB 261) of the university of Bremen to the South Atlantic with following topics: - Marine geology: undisturbed samples of the sediments with gravity corer and multicorer - Sedimentology: grain size spectra of surface sediments, current conditions, transport mechanisms - Geophysics: ship board echo sounder systems hydrosweep and parasound, continuosly recording - Geochemistry: analyses of sediment pore-water and solid phase for all quantitative important elements - Biogeochemistry: measurement in-situ of benthic fluxes with different lander systems
