Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:

Study of baroclinic mass-field patterns embedded within the main halocline by eddy-resolving CTD-stations with a spacing of 2,5 n.m. for calibration/validation of existing numerical circulation models under the umbrella of the Russian-German cooperation concerning meso-scale dynamics (MESODYN) in deep Baltic basins.
