Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
One of a series of physical and chemical oceanography cruises to study water mass transformations in the Iceland Basin. Primary water masses under investigation were Labrador Sea Water and Iceland Scotland Overflow water. Main tasks: 1) Hydrographic and trace measurements in the Iceland Basin. 2) Exchange of moored current meters. 3) Continuation of RAFOS float work. 4) Reinstallation of float park SOUTH. 5) Deployment of APEX on behalf of BSH, Hamburg.
