Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
The main task of this cruise was a comparison of the selective properties of different codends for the catch of cod which can be considered as being in accordance with existing regulations for the Baltic. A similar comparison was intended for experimental codends from PA and PE made of netting turned 90 degrees from its normal orientation. The third task was the further collection of data on the selective properties of a so-called Multipanel codend with three slim escape windows made of square meshes and distributed evenly over the cross-section of the codend.
