Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:

Objectives: (1) Study of the longterm changes (1987-2004) of the ecosystem, after the transition of soil composition, as well as of the pattern and the area of their diffusion, (2) investigation of the trophic condition of the gulf and of its evolution from 1987 to 2004. Study of the impact of the wastes on the fauna and particularly the communities, (3) investigation of the extent of slime laying down by the previous and the new sewer and (4) verification of the pattern of soil diffusion through the development of a hydrodynamic model, and of the trophic status of the Gulf through an ecological model. Description of the field observations: (1) Hydrographic measurements, (2) pollution parameters in sea water, (3) pollution parameters in sediment and (4) biological parameters of sea water.
