Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
Geophysical measurements and petrological-, geochemical sampling of the sea floor were carried out in order to determine the spatial and temporal volcano-tectonic development of the central Havre through and Kermadec Island Arc. The variation of magma sources along the Kermadec Arc was studied and the distribution of active hydro thermal systems in the region has been determined. Furthermore the composition of the hydro thermal fluids will be analysed based on samples taken.
