Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
8 mtr. Beamtrawl-survey with ms ISIS combined with a 10 mtr. beamtrawl-survey with the commercial beamer "UK 383". Purpose to estimate the effect of the plaicebox. Yearclass strength of 0,1 and 2 year old flatfish inside and the final report will be completed in autumn 1999. Also fish (plaice) was tagged in and outside the box.

54 hauls of 30 minutes with 8 mtr beamtrawl with 10 ?mm meshed codend. The stations frid are located in and outside the coastel zone of Netherlands, Germany and Denmark. 22 hauls of commercial lenght with a 10 mtr beamtrawl with the beamer "UK 383". 1989 otoliths were collected for age determinations on board ms "ISIS". 563 otoliths were collected for the same purpose on board the "UK 383". From both ships the lenght distribution of each haul is determinated and for each fish species caught. | no |
