Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:

One of the physical oceanography cruises in the frame of the DIAMIX process studies to investigate: - the distribution of energy of different modes of mofion in the water column - the spatial and temporal changes of energy in the internal wave band - the relation between dissipation of kinetic energy and properties of the internal wave field. Main Tasks 1: Time series measurements of current and stratification at the three sites in the eastern Gotland Basin 2: Measure spatial distribution of current and stratification 3: Time series of dissipation profiles at different rites (mooring sites).
