Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:

An intensive sampling programme at ESTOC (located 60nm north of Las Palmas at 20? 10N, 15? 30W) was conducted covering the month of March. The sampling also included tracer gases and components of the CO2-system and rate measurements of primary production, and short-term particle flux rates on a transect from ESTOC towards the Moroccan upwelling region were conducted to localise Antartic Intermediate Water along the islands slope.
